About one per year in my local club. Trees 3/0 in 3 years. All were a guy wire taken out by a tree fall.

That's the downside of dense free wire antenna supports to 100' here in WWA.

The only failures I've seen were due to something else. With guyed towers, it was mainly due to some sort of guy failure. For self-supporters the tower bent 2/3 or so up the tower. Never seen a base failure. Cheers,
