I purchased a set of 12 18-inch anchors several years ago. They are stored in
a large plastic bucket, with a tool to help with installation.
These are quite rugged, and will stand up to a lot of lateral force. I found
they easily screw in to moist soil, but are far from easy to remove after a few
days in service. I had to use a 1/2 inch breaker bar and socket. Nice time I
plan to use an impact wrench.
Don't plan to use them in dry or rocky soil, unless you have a means to apply a
lot of weight to the top.
