I don't think any of the "MAPP gas" produced in the last 10 years or so is
truly MAPP, so I'd have to say yes, the current "MAPP gas" is still adequate
for light-duty use like brazing #10 or #12 to 3" strap when it's not being
done in sub-zero temperatures or with the window howling. But we'll use a
portable OE kit when we're doing a new install or major repairs due to
copper theft as it makes the job go faster.
