Putting a dummy load out on a feedline does not mimic driving an antenna. And tuning in the shack only makes the amp happy. It doesn't change what is going on outside. SWR due to line problems or mismatch at the antenna creates E and I peaks and nulls along the line that can find faults not apparent when everything is well matched.
