Yes. I'm just finishing a major project to update my recommendations for
chokes. Go with 18 turns of RG400 on a 2.4-in #31 core. That should
provide around 10K ohms of resistive choking Z on 160M. It will NOT be
good on any other band.
Be careful to wind the turns sequentially. If you wind very carefully,
17 turns will fit on the first layer. The additional turn should overlay
the start of the winding.
18 turns of a pair of #12 Teflon provides slightly lower choking Z. Only
15 turns will fit on the first layer.
