Thanks to all that responded. Problem is the links provided show base for a MA-40 attached to a structure at the eave. That installation uses just 2 bolts sticking out of the concrete. For a free standing MA-40 with the MARB (rotor at bottom) installation looks like I need to use the data for a MA-55 but stay with the 4 anchor bolts 3/4" by 27" and a hole 3' x 3' x 6' deep and a good rebar cage. The MA-55 uses 1" anchor bolts but my base has 4 bolt holes for 3/4" anchor bolts. Comments welcome.I'll document this project which is in the hills south of San Jose, CA. 73 Ron W8RJL----- Original Message ----- From: "Jon Zaimes" <jz73@verizon.net> To: "'Ron W8RJL'" <youngron@verizon.net>; "'Tower and HF antenna construction topics.'" <towertalk@contesting.com>Sent: Thursday, January 17, 2019 5:35 AM Subject: RE: [TowerTalk] Installation manual MA-40Ron, Found this on US Tower website. I think it has the specs you want: http://www.ustower.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/MA40.pdf I installed a new MA40 a year or so ago (for a client) on an older MA40base, and discovered the new base plate was a slightly different size (a wee bit larger in one dimension as I recall) and I had to chisel some concreteaway to make it work. Not sure but the hole spacing or size may have beenslightly different too, requiring "field modification." So you may not wantto trust the manual specs till you have your parts in hand. 73/Jon Jon P. I've requested a quote for J bolts and manual from US Towerbut not sure how long that will take. Looking for hole size, J bolt specs and cage/rebar info.
