## Biggest problem with tower talk, amps, etc, is NO PIX !!
Folks spend countless time and effort ..describing stuff, when
a simple pix would have sufficed. Pix is worth a 1000 words.
There are mailman lists which allow pictures and attachments
(time-nuts). Charlie does raise a good point, though.
I suspect that any mailing list system (yahoo, group.io, etc) does
provide some amount of tailoring as to what attachments and sizes are
possible, etc.
I moderate a couple lists, using mailman, and one aspect of moderation I
hate is the "evil links" in a post problem. The list doesn't accept
attachments, so if people want to post schematics, pictures, etc. they
have to find a place to drop them, and then link to it- Which mailman,
nor any other list management software, helps. Except in an sort of
peculiar way.
Archaic old school mailing lists are not as likely to be viewed as a
target by a troll looking to make trouble by posting links to bad places.
We also have a rule on that list that you need to describe what the link
is pointing to in some detail - a post with just a link gets bounced.
Again, this helps reduce the trolls - a troll isn't going to write a
couple sentences saying "here's the schematic of the pulse generator. Do
you think that Q3 is biased correctly?"
