I've had a MA770 for 10 years and no problems. I keep it at about 55ft for
a feeling of additional safety.
I have no bang or other noises from it. Be sure the limit switches always
work. Bearings are Fafnir KP8, not KP8A. They do up occasionally on eBay.
At one time I was able to buy them from US Towers.
