I live in an area that has ice storms, I'd have lost that antenna many times
if it had rope on the outside, especially if it includes wind.
Good point.. I wonder what the "minimum size" of the vortex disrupter
is. They use them in icing areas, but, then, I suspect that power lines
and such are built to much higher strengths than the typical amateur
radio antenna.
