I use Harbor Freight Truck Rope in the 5/8" flavor, from pulleys at either

individual hauls currently. Easy to erect, change, and maintain a variety
of wire antennas, 100'+ off the ground, Had the truck rope up since 1999
with no issues yet.

In a previous post on this thread, I mentioned the dismal situation
regarding rope at HF/HD/Lowes, etc. Like you I used to buy big
spools of truck rope and build all kinds of ham radio stuff.
Now a days, you will only find rope in "hanks" of 100 feet or less.
No big spools. If you need over 100 feet to go through a pulley,
you're out of luck unless you have magic splice that is pulley
ready. You might find some rope on big spools that is sold
by the foot for astronomical prices. The rope quality itself has
gone to the dogs as well. Mostly the useless "twist" type instead
of braided. Even the braided is hollow ("it floats", big deal) so it
flattens going through a pulley.
I think I am going to check out my local Marine dealers and see if
they still have real rope, (at real prices :-). Maybe they
will sell it to me on the installment plan, hi.
BTW, all the truck rope I have put up self-destructed within
a few years due to UV. I'm amazed you got 20+ years out of it.
YMMV!
