Hesitant to ask this but have you checked the voltage drop at the rotator?
Might or might not be the problem. It could be you simply need a low
temperature grease instead of the stuff that turns to a rock. Try something
synthetic?

I have found that when all electrical issues seems OK, that it's time to look
at degreasing the thrust bearing, then loading it with new grease. Also look to
lubing any other areas where the mast might be metal-to-metal contact with
other surfaces.
