What you really need is an LTC3045-1.  If you don't want to build
it, then purchase an eval board.  One board will get you several
output voltages.

The application is that there's motors and relays running off the 12V bus, which is noisy, but I have stuff needing a cleaner 12V and 5V (getting 5V from 12V is easy with automotive USB power widgets).

Ideally with power pole connectors.


I could design something with LC and back to back Zeners, etc. but I would rather just buy something.
