The Flexweave advertising used to quote my late friend, W5PJR, who claimed that
Flexweave could be spliced using a square knot, I know that sounds silly, but
I have used it without any issues, AFAIK.

I did use steel wool to clean off oxidation.

With that type of termination it sounds like you plan on the antenna wire being
under a lot of tension. I have no personal experience with Flexweave but I
would be concerned about the small Ø0.005 wires breaking.

Any suggestion on the correct thimble size and nicopress (compression) sleeve
that would be used with #14 and #12 Flexweave?
