[TowerTalk] 700 ft tower atop Hilton Milwaukee to come down

This article includes a bit of history of the beginning of UHF TV

The tower was installed long after the building was constructed. One has to
wonder if additional structural support was added to the building's roof in
order to support this very heavy structure. Just imagine the amount of
torque placed on the roof during high winds.
