The rear switch is to be used to shut off the amp completely so it can't
even be turned on remotely. The front switch is for "local control", as
is the switch on the remote control console.
And yes, this Q might have been more appropriate if asked in onna the
"Amp" forums...

Subject: [TowerTalk] Acom 2000A Power Switch
Something that has confused me since I started using this amp two months
ago is the fact that it has two power switches - one on the rear panel of
the amp and one on the remote control pod. The manual says that the power
is off until turned on via the on/off button on the remote pod. I assume
this means that the power switch on the rear panel of the amp is meant to
be left on even for long periods when the amp isn't being used. Is this in
fact the case?
