It turns out the AlfaSpid is broken and skipping teeth. The outer housing
that supports the main worm axle is fractured along a bend line.
The rotator is 11 years old. It might be repairable with a bead of welding.
I have a new spare that I'm working on putting in place.
No special compass needed.
Thanks all
