Hello Jack
I have not used at 1122E, however many TIC motors need 24 VDC. Did you check
the output voltage of your TIC controller?
It might be that your test power supply of 15 VDC is too low.

Subject: [TowerTalk] TIC GEN Ring Rotator
Hello,
I have been using a TIC GEN 1122E ring rotator for 17 years to turn a 6
element 20 meter beam at 90 feet on my Rohn 45 tower.
For the past 4 months the azimuth 500 ohm pot became somewhat
intermittent, and last week the pot wiper opened completely.
I brought the drive unit down from the tower and put it on the bench.
With the motor drive on the bench and the pot removed, I applied around
15 VDC to run the motor, and found that it is VERY noisy!
So noisy that I would like to get it rebuilt or buy a replacement.
I used the https://www.ticgen.com/contact-us/ to ask about pricing for
either a replacement or rebuilt drive unit for the 1122E.
Unfortunately, I have received no response.
Anyone know if Carl is still supporting customers, or is TIC GEN still
in business?
I did have a spare Bourns 3590S-2-501L pot for the rotor drive, and the
rotor is now working again but I would like to get
the motor drive replaced or repaired.
Thanks,
Jack, WB8BFS
