Hi Randy,

Some thoughts on this. The response of all passive networks depends on the complex source and load impedances they see at the operating frequencies, and they can vary over a very wide range on 80M, less so on 40M. These factors affect both dissipation and isolation. I'd carefully study the ratings for the units you're considering, and the range of mismatch for which they are specified.

I do know that the team of highly qualified engineers that maintain N6RO are happy with their VA6AM bandpass filters. I'm pretty certain they're not using any duplexers.
