I have just one question.... Where the hell was everybody!
Worked 8 - 10 Qs in 3 1/2 hours.
A couple of locals on FM, 3 of the most active guys in CM98, A brief
contact into DM07, and one very memorable Q with WA7ADK in DN31 Utah on
JT44. From his house to mine at 400+ miles over some very tall and rugged
mountains.
At times he was so loud I would have thought he was next town, not 5 grids
away.
I even copied him off the back of his antenna as he worked a station east of
him... WOW!
Thats 400 miles away, over tall mtns, house to house, off the BACK of his 9
ele yagi at 70'.
Perfect but weak copy. Amazing!
I cant wait to be atop a tall mtn in a rare NV grid during the upcoming June
VHF contest!
