Hi guys, sorry no comments about rule changes...
I am hoping to add another band for the next contest.
Looks like for the same money I can either buy a DEM 1296-144 transverter or a
FM 1.2GHz FM Mobile Rig.
I live in the SF Bay Area. I know I could probably easily work about 20 guys or
so on SSB. Any idea how much FM activity there is? Do rovers go out equipped
with 1.2G FM? I am sorry but I do not have much experience on this band.
I dont like making FM contacts much, but I like making FM contacts better than
making no contacts when the other bands/modes are quiet. Also seems like some
rovers only have FM.
Thanks
Tim - NU6S
PS if you have anything that can get me on 1.2 G let me know what you have.
Other needs:
Old 222 FM rig for 223.5 (already have 222 SSB)
222 100w+ amp
Small 432/446 beam. (I already have a big one)
