Warning, cross posting so look for it on several list so accept my
appologies in advance.

The Arkansas-Lousiana-Texas-Orienteering-Society will be holding an
Amateur Radio Direction Finding (ARDF) meet in conjuction with a classic
orienteering meet this fall at the Lake Claiborne Fall Orienteering Meet,
October 23, 2004 at the Lake Claiborne State Park LA.

What is orienteering and ARDF. In simple terms ARDF is an on foot fox
hunt in the woods. For more information on ARDF check out
http://www.ka5cvh.com/radioO.htm for more detailed information and links
to even more sites on the subject. This meet will be a five (5) fox 2
meter (144 MHz) only so you don't need a lot of specialized equipment to
get out and give it a shot.

Hope to see you there.
