OK I'll bite on the Olympic thing, team circling is like synchronous swinging 
in the middle of the pool where you have some competing in the butterfly 
(single operator portable) , backstroke (multioperator), doggie paddle (low 
power), Freestyle (high power) and breaststroke (limited multi operator) and of 
course the rover who doesn't stick to his lane.  

The guys doing synchronous may look the best from above the pool and may have 
wonderful coordination with each other, but they never get to either end of 
the pool to tag with their other competitors.

That should make a splash.  
Thank god there are no French judges involved in this contest!
