I visited WA6BYA( now W6BYA) a dozen years ago. He had two 9-el.
M-squared(the prototypes with 45 foot booms), one at 140 feet and the other
at 102 feet. He said his take-off angle was about 1.5 degrees. He is about
1/4 mile or so from Pacific Ocean. He has worked about everything in Asia on
6, so I would say he knows what he is talking about.
