Even though I have been licensed for 29 years it is only recently I became
interested in VHF/UHF operating. This is also the first time I have dealt with
LMR400 coax so the question is as follows.

There are many types of RG8 and I am unsure of which type is being referred to
in this subject. Would 9913 be the best choice for RG8 type coax to use with or
in place of LMR400 ?

I have LMR400 that is going to be routed from my radio out to the base of the
antenna masting. Since the LMR400 is not flexible I plan to run 9913 from the
base of the masting to the feedpoint of the antenna.

This weekend I will be putting up my 2 meter yagi and will be running the new
coax at the same time. I know that this change will greatly increase the
efficiency of my station since I'm currently using RG8X.
