The CQ WW VHF contest was made for 2 bands with wise thinking, and should be
maintained as such.
Having said that, there is no reason why those choosing to try 432 to see if
they have a path for the upcoming UHF in 2 weeks cannot do so, especially
rovers.
This does not take away from the contest, it only takes some contest operating
time away from those going off-bands. I for one would favour doing so in the
future, provided of course it was not during a hot opening on 6 or 2. Can fill
in some quiet times while parked in the middle of nowhere on a hilltop.
Hope 6 improves in NA for the weekend.
