I have heard rumors that Yaesu did make a prototype 222mhz module for the
FT726, and a few did get out into general circulation. I have never seen one
myself, but have heard a couple of people say they saw it.
Why can't Icom and Kenwood make optional 222 modules for rigs like the 910H and
TS2000 to fit in place of the 1.2g module. Icom really fell down by not
offering a 6 meter module for the 910H. A 6m/2m/70cm rig that did dual receive
would be great for VHF contesting.
