Not enough activity around here, sadly enough. Make me an offer. I want to
outfit the Rover with a nice 220 rig and some accessories, which is the
reason for selling the station.

The UHF station consists of a COMPLETE setup, mostly already connected
together, for the 432, 903, and 1296 MHz bands.

The single IF source of signal is a Yaesu FT-726R, which has modules for
144, 432 and 21/28 MHz. (rare!). Thus, bypassing any transverters would
allow use on 2 meters as well. Since at one time the 726 was used to drive
a Commander II amplifier on 2 meters and required 20 watts of drive, it was
outfitted with the same power amplifier as in the FT-736. This mod was done
by an expert in electronics. Electronically the 726 is 100% and
cosmetically better than a 9 on a scale of 1 -10 (10 being best).

903: SSB Electronic LT-33S transverter, which has 10 watts output, uses the
726 for 29 MHz IF drives an ARRL lab constructed (by K1RO) solid state
amplifier. Includes 24 volt supply for the amp, 12 v supply for the other
connections, DownEast Preamp, CX-600 TR relay, with all plugs connections
etc. Previously measured at 65 watts out.

1296: SSB Electronic LT-23S transverter.just like LT33S but uses the 144
MHz output of the 726 for the IF. Solid state power amp is a DownEast
2335PA which is good for about 30 watts output (only measured 20 watts on a
400-1000 MHz Bird slug). CX-600 relay and all connecting cables and plugs.
There is no preamp on this setup.

432: Direct output of the FT-726R. 10 watts out

Commander Peter Quincy Taggart: Never give up, never surrender!

Red Green: Quando omni flunkus moritati - when all else fails, play dead.

Riley Hollingsworth: If you don't like it spin the dial!
