I built the Cheap Yagi for 432 on my rover and talk from EM45 back to EM31
pretty easily. I am running a TE brick though.

I have managed to get a 70cm all mode radio on eBay. (Icom IC-471A) It
does just 25 watts.

I don't have a lot of space for an antenna and no space for a stacked
set. I was thinking of the Directive Systems DSFO432-15RS which is a
rover friendly antenna of around 8' in length. It will be about 30'.

I am in north central Indiana (Kokomo) so I would likely need to reach
some major cities like Cincinnati, Columbus, & Toledo OH and Detroit and
Grand Rapids, MI and Chicago, IL and Louisville, KY for some contacts.
Am I going to need an amplifier to get the job done?

What might be better possibilities?
