I only got on for the last hour here. Made 8 QSO's in 7 grids. I was on a
hilltop in EN50ue with 10 watts and an 8-element long-spaced Yagi up about
12 feet above the ground. I didn't bother pointing east because I was on for
the last hour of the Sprint and it was already past 11 pm there local time
(the Illinois-Indiana border is 40 miles away). Most of my QSO's were with
the Chicago gang to the north. I almost worked W9RVG but he evidently didn't
copy my grid.

Not as much activity as in the 144 MHz Sprint but I still had fun. Glad to
work K9JK/R in two of his grids.

The hill I was on has three towers on it including a local FM station. The
noise was horrendous there for the 144 MHz sprint but it was very quiet up
there on 222 MHz.
I know 432 is also noisy; there is something up there that transmits what
sounds like packet up around 435 MHz that desenses my receiver. It is not an
amateur radio transmission. I might have to choose a different site for
the 432 MHz Sprint.
