KK6MC/r will rove in the contest this weekend. Here is my planned Itinerary for
the January ARRL VHF Sweepstakes.
1900 Z DM31, North end of Organ Pipe National Monument
2000 Z leave DM31 and move to DM32
2015 DM 32 start operating in Organ Pipe
2115 leave Organ Pipe, operating in DM32 on road to DM41, passing briefly
through DM42
2245 DM41, near Sells AZ
2315Z leave Sells in DM41 operating in motion
2345Z enter DM42 in Motion
0045 DM42 in Tucson, will stop and operate a bit
We will probably stop for the night here, or maybe a bit east.
On the road in the morning:
1500Z in DM42
1600Z in DM51
1700Z on the road
1718Z in motion to DM52
1915Z Stop in DM52 at N2IC QTH, good views to everywhere
2030Z on road
2115Z DM62 at the Emory Pass, better views to everywhere
2215Z leave DM62, will stop if required
2300 arrive DM63, operate in motion, again will stop if required
0000Z enter DM64, in motion
Stop in Socorro for supper, on the road again at 0100Z. Maybe catch a bit of
the Vikes game.
0200Z arrive in DM65, continue to operate until
0245Z when arrive at home.
I will have 6M, 2M, 1.35M, 0.7M and 0.23M. 100 Watts on the lower 3 bands, 50
Watts on 70cm, and 10 Watts on 70cm. 2 element Moxon on 6M, 6 element WA5VJB on
2M and 1.35M, 11 element WA5VJB on 70cm and 23cm.
I will have CW for weak signal work, feel free to call on CW, or expect a call
on CW.
