The weekend before the January VHF Sweepstakes there was a major
tropo opening from the heartland all the way to New England. W1COT
was into Iowa and Missouri.
The weekend after the contest (+ Monday) widespread Es on 6 Meters
from California, Mexico across the midwest to New England,
the Canadian Maritimes and Bahama Islands.
What a difference a week makes...
