What a difference from last years (3358). Operated from the top of Powder Mtn.
9000' again this year with a Cushcraft 50-5S(W5WVO), M2-2M12
TE-1452GS,TE-0552GS and FT-897D with RIGblaster Plus interface for WSJT. The
band didn't come alive until 2200 on Saturday so the first 4 hours were pretty
depressing but stayed open until 0400 utc. Sunday started out at 1200 utc
working K2DRH on 2 mtr FSK441 meteor scatter also W7OUU and KE7NR. I also
worked 7 others on 6 meter HSMS FSK441. The band opened again for e's around
1500 utc and petered out at 1936 utc. Farthest stations worked were K1TOL FN44
(2095 mi), W1XX FN41 (2064 mi), W3EP FN31 (2030 mi), N8RA FN31 (1985.65 mi) and
K1TEO FN31 (1985.45 mi).
Thanks to W1XX and K1TEO for putting this contest on.
73 until next time.
