I looked into the Fox 1-1 a few years back. Most of the comments in DUBUS magazine, and on Euro VHF sites were "mixed" at best--and many were pretty negative. I don't pretend to understand all the pros and cons of various SDR approaches, but there seemed to be real problems with the Fox design.

Just added a buffer amp to my IC-910H (had it added by Scott at MTS in Washington) that will allow outputting the IF frequency of the radio to an SDR receiver, and provide a panascope. Even this will
be a boon during openings, and I can't wait to start experimenting with it.

The modification was developed by VK2DAG and information can be found here:

Cheap access to 222 and 902 would be very welcome indeed. Can you imagine an "all in one rig" that might
get you to over 3 GHz!!!??

Les,
Very interesting SDR and I have also been waiting for the VHF/UHF all
band SDR. My FLEX and HB xvtrs are nice but with recent USB stick
signal generators to 4 GHz and $39 Dongal type receivers can these be
far behind?

As such I am wondering if any on this list have seen/bought/used etc.
the RFHam Foz 1-1,450 MHz rcvr and xcvr made in France? Comments
please.
