Pleasant Fall evening with clear sky, temp = 70F, nil wind; nice sunset 
&moonrise.3 QSOs made with local Thousand Oaks, CA (DM04) RACES/ACS 
Members.Only station to South was K6TSK in DM03. (TOTALS: 12 QSO in 6 Grids = 
76points) Worked Grids DM07, CM97, CM98, CM88. Best DX was W6VNQ at 373mi/600 
km in CM88to Northwest of Sacramento, CABy 9PM PDT, K6MYC (DM07) 326 km was 
'rag-chew' quality: S-6 QSB.Introduced newly licensed ham, Stu, KK6SUV, to 
nuances of non-local VHFcommunication. He was impressed with the performance of 
222 MHz during theSPRINT!Rig: FT736, T.E. Systems 'brick', & M>2 9 element yagi 
on small hilltopwithin city limits of Thousand Oaks, CA
