After 2 weeks of on the air testing the 10ghz beacon is ready for prime time.
Specs below.
K1IIG Beacons on the air in FN-31nl at 480' HMSL
10638.340 3w to a 2x6 Alford Slot (new July 2018)
222.060 20w to a Wheel
432.320 5w to a Wheel
K1IIG 2ghz Beacon was recently moved to FN-31tt at ~800' HMSL
2304.320 20w to stacked wheels to be changed to a 2x10 Alford Slot
None of them are freq locked and have moved a bit with the heat but close
within 100hz with 10ghz within 25hz.
Unfortunately the new 3ghz beacon did not pass the summer temp test with the
amp failing which was suspect
from the beginning. I will be looking for a replacement if anyone has one they
are willing to part with.
All beacons will be off during contest time being located at a contest station
location.
