I am going to have a go at Classic Rover again, after some years exploring
other entry classes, but it will not be quite a full-up maximum score effort.
I plan to have 6 m thru 10 GHz (and some 24 GHz wideband FM gear) with me, but
some bands will be quite limited in capability. No digital modes this time
around.
Here's my plan:
Saturday
1800-2030 FN04ab
2100-2330 EN94wc
0045-0200 FN03dp (concentrating on some local microwavers)
Sunday
1200-1400 FN03bi
1500-1700 EN92/93/FN02/03 grid corner (mobile antennas only)
1715-1800 FN02ax
1930-2130 EN92mp
2315-0200 EN93xj (might stay later)
Sked requests are welcome and whenever possible I will monitor ON4KST Region 2
2m/70cm chat. I will try a 2m CQ frequency of 144.187 MHz USB/CW. At times
when I'm trying to work local rovers 144.237 will be good bet to find me.
A new Rover will be travelling nearby most of the contest, manned by one very
experienced ham (but fairly new to VHF contesting), and one or two quite new
licensees. Their call will be VE3CJ/R and they will have 6/2/432 and 223.5 FM
capability. I hope you will be able to help out this new group with some QSOs.
