It is Tuesday, and this is a friendly reminder for all who have 222 equipment, to turn on the switch and try it out this evening for the latest 222 activity period.  I am hoping to be there. I hooked everything up, but do not have any computing gear up there yet, nor have I tested the antenna VSWR. I also cannot elevate the antenna as I left a metal adaptor up there by accident and it has been too windy to climb and retrieve it. The last two days have been very windy. It was very cold this morning as well, and at noon, it is still in the mid 30's with high winds.

I do plan to be there. I have been working on bench testing my new solid state amplifier. I had a very unfortunate experience today as I raised the power level to 1000 watts output. My harmonic filter acted like a flash bulb as one of the chip caps vaporized. My first thought was that a FET had exploded. Then I saw the crater in the filter board.  It was not up to the task. So I am afraid that my solid state amp is not anywhere near ready for prime time. Hopefully the 8877 still works!

I will be on 222.100 starting around 23:30 UT  or 6:30 PM EDST. I hope it all works. Not sure I can get on the ON4KST page either.
