Yes, the new "improved" version is better but due to the limitations of the
number of characters that can be sent, if you worked a station some time
previously and you want to pass him to a different band, your call doesn't
show up in the pop-up so the person receiving the message has no idea who
sent it. Yes, he can QSY to where you sent him but if you are any distance
away with sharp antennas (lord help you if you are on 10GHz with a dish
!!!) you have no idea where to point.

If you just completed a QSO and then sent the message, hopefully the
operator "gets the message" !!

It will be interesting this weekend to see how many use it.
