Hello vhfers
Don't forget to get on 222 MHz and exercise your ssb and cw signals
tonight. I looked at the Hepburn index and things look better than we
have seen in the last week. There is a very slight enhancement over
Lakes Erie and Ontario. I am not sure how that will work out, but I will
be in there trying. Activity starts around 23:00 UT. Look around
222.100 MHz and then move off the calling frequency as activity peaks
up. The 222 and Up contest was so poorly attended, that I doubt anyone
is burned out by too much ham radio. So get on this evening, and make
some noise. In the past there have been some incentives to foster
activity on 222. There may be a surprise coming up from the 222 MHz
Activity Committee. It would be a good idea to be on so that you could
be in the running for a nice prize. Who knows you might win a nice aged
Kielbasa from Chicopee, MA?
