I'm pondering a new system for my portable operations.Does anyone have 
experience with the FIVE band transverter from Q5My TS2000X which has many 
bells and whistles, is pretty deaf on receiveI used it for EME on 1296 from my 
old QTH, but a preamp was mounteddirectly on my 12 foot dish.Perhaps a radio 
such as an ICOM 7300 and transverters would be a much more enjoyableYour 
thoughts pleaseHerb K2LNSBTW I use short cables to the antennas, and I don't 
plan on any mast mounted preamps
