222 MHz Fall Sprint - 2025

Call: WZ1V
Operator(s): WZ1V
Station: WZ1V
Class: Single Op HP
QTH: FN31
Operating Time (hrs): 3.5

Summary:
Total: Analog Qs = 30 Dig Qs = 25 Mults = 20 Total Score = 1,100

Club: North East Weak Signal Group

Comments:
Managed to work 14 dupes per the new instructions.
So really only worked 41 unique calls in 20 grids.
Still not bad for a Sprint on a flat band.
Best digi DX FM07 on Q65 and VE3DS FN03 on FT8.
Best analog DX WA3EOQ FM09 on CW.
Great to work K1DY FN54 on SSB.

I still liked the old Sprint rules better.
The time used to chase these 2nd mode contacts would be
better spent searching for new stations to work.
If you work them once, you've already established you can make contact.
To work them again is IMO a totally frivolous and trivial pursuit.
I suspect I missed a few unique contacts during the extra time spent
making those second mode contacts. Not to mention the extra work checking
over the dupes and manually figuring the score. Speaking of that I hope everyone
realizes you must dupe-check your dupes to make sure it's not a second
dupe. Only one dupe per call allowed. Maybe we should petition the Sprint
sponsors to allow for more dupes - just think of the fun we could have working
each other a dozen times - a point each for CW, SSB, AM, FM, FT4, FT8, MSK144,
Q65, RTTY, PSK31, Olivia, VarAC - LOL.

73 Ron WZ1V
