Hi Grant,
The road up the hill is not really a road. It is a path according to the
construction outfit that overhauled it about 2 years ago. The fellow put
lots of crushed rock on the sloping portions and gravel on the semi flat
areas, but it is still treacherous with snow because of the sliding
factor on uneven ground. On Wednesday afternoon, I got the driveway
shoveled out and snow blown. I took the truck and went up part of the
hill to test out how good or bad it was. I had no trouble even with the
7 inches of snow, so I am hoping that the olde truck can make it to the
top with little trouble. I know that EME condx were FB on Tuesday, and
they are great tonight as well, so I am planning on getting on this
evening Dec 3/4. Is anyone likely to be there this evening? I will
monitor the HB9Q chat. I hope to be QRV after maybe 2300 UT

Well we missed K1WHS getting on with his big signal but there was
still some activity off the moon last night.
N0AKC was heard with a big signal trying to work K3SK. Unfortunately
Charlie seemed to have a damage preamp and couldn't hear Dave.
Dave has really stepped up his EME game with his new array, and was
easily worked with -19 signals from him.
PJ4MM also got on but had difficulty with tracking as the moon crossed
almost directly over his QTH. Once the moon passed zenith for him we
easily worked with -25 signals from Martin.
Polarity was generally well defined with good CW echoes being heard at
this QTH.
Still hoping for another 3 more new grids and 18 more states on this
band. Fingers crossed for more moon activity.
73 to all.

Hi VHFers,
It is Tuesday and I should be heading up to the shack for the evening,
but we are in the middle of the first big snowfall around here. The snow
depth is predicted to be 6-10 inches, which is quite deep for
negotiating the woods road that goes up to the shack. It looks like I
will probably not make it this evening. Heaviest snow is this evening
around activity time. I got up early and was hauling diesel fuel up at 8
AM this morning. The generator fuel tank was very low and so I hauled a
couple of fuel containers with 12 gallons of diesel. It was snowing at
7 am but had not accumulated much and i got the fueling completed. Now
the snow is quiet deep and I am not sure that I can reach the shack.
Temps are in the low 20's and will drop to single digits the rest of the
week.
Activity has been a bit slow on Tuesdays of late as cold weather and
poor condx has thinned the herd a bit. Activity starts around 00:00 UT
on the East Coast. Lots of contacts are made with coordination on the
ON4KST Chat page
http://www.on4kst.info/chat/index.php
Activity spreads out around 222.100 with CW, SSB and FT8 on 222.174.
