Another Tuesday is here so I am planning to take a nice walk through
the 3.5" of snow received today and attempt to get on the 222 MHz band
for all sorts of excitement, mirth, and downright mind numbing fun! The
fun will start after dinner and be sure to check into the ON4KST Chat
page so folks will know that you are looking for contacts. Those guys in
the activity centers always have beams pointed at them, but folks on the
perimeter always have beams pointed away from them! So let everyone know
that you exist and are on 222 and I am sure they will all look for you.
Be sure you get on the correct chat. It is 144/432 Region 2 Chat.
So I am lacing up my winter boots for a nice slog thru the woods. I hope
to be QRV just before 2300 UT. It looks like the snow stopped and I am
hoping for better weather. Last week was loaded with rain static and
lightning crashes from out West. We can't catch a break. I keep telling
myself that Spring is coming.
I hope to contact a bunch of stations The more who show up just
increases the fun for all. Maybe K1PXE will show up? Maybe KK4MA and
N8LRG catch some tropo? Maybe I can find the shack in the dark?
CU on 222.100.
