I reported crashing problems with WL during the RTTY contest last weekend.
After spending much of yesterday troubleshooting the problem, I found that the
cause was most likely related to a serial device connected to the machine. This
device was sending data to another application running on the system. Somehow,
WL was being affected by this other activity. Disconnecting the offending
device has eliminated the crashes.

RE: WL RTTY experience
I had a blast this weekend! I made my first RTTY contact ever, and then made
165 more!
WL was a lot of fun to use in the RTTY contest. I did, however, experience many
system crashes. Usually, it would crash when I left the machine running
unattended for a while. When returning to the room after a break, I would see
the Windows message saying that a fault had occured in WriteLog. Everything was
pretty much hung and a system reboot was required. This was 10.14E on a Windows
95 P200MX. Packet spotting, rig control and RTTY connections were in active.
When I just run packet and rig control, there don't seem to be any crashes like
that.
In spite of having to reboot, I still had the time of my life. In RTTY contests
you can make QSOs and talk to your wife at the same time.
73!
