I caught the tail end of this, but it probably applies to my problem.  I am 
new to WriteLog and cannot get the COM ports to work.  It must be an 
obvious pilot error, but I am missing it.  Can anyone advise?

Thank you Keith, Bob and Steve for the help. I changed the BIOS so that
com1 and com2 are set manually instead of being set to AUTO configure.
That did the trick.
