The 3905 Century Club sponsors RTTY Worked-All-States nets on 20, 40 and 80
meters - it's a good chance to possibly work a few states that you're
missing, and it's a generally fun way to spend a few hours. The net
schedule is as follows:
80m - 03:00 UTC Sunday (Saturday evening local in North America), 3.584
+/- QRM
40m - 02:00 UTC Monday (Sunday evening local), 7.084
20m - 21:00 UTC Sunday (Sunday afternoon local), 14.084
(note that the 20m net might be moving one hour later - it's a subject of
debate at the moment)
The format of the net is pretty loose - we take checkins, then run down the
list and let each station call another station with as little assistance
from net control as possible. We keep going until everyone is done calling.
Our 20 meter net today had a total of 41 checkins and went for about 5
hours; the other nets are usually a lot smaller and run about 2 hours.
The 3905 Century Club operates a free and open QSL buro for anyone who
checks into the nets so QSLing is an easy and inexpensive task. The nets
are open to all stations, stateside and DX, and the only requirement we
have is that you be willing to confirm your contacts via QSL.
The club also operates phone nets on 160 through 40 meters and has a number
of different awards for making contacts on the nets. More information about
the club is at http://www.qsl.net/3905ccn
If you'd like to join us on the nets, we'd sure love to have you! And if
you're not a "net" person, then please feel free to ignore this invitation!
