John, a big thanks for sharing this with us.  You are correct in that no one
has ever mentioned this type of Internet service before that I can recall.

I recently obtained ADSL service at my QTH.  During the past WPX RTTY
contest, which allows for Packetcluster spotting for single operators, my 
Internet connection stayed up the entire 48 hour contest weekend.  This is a
great improvement compared to when I used a dial-up account in the past,
since I do not have an RF link to a Packetcluster site.

What you are showing us can improve the quality of many contest stations,
especially ones like W5KFT in Texas where we used one of my dial-up
accounts long distance during our AA5AU record setting BARTG M effort
last year.  It appears suitable to just about any remote station, big or small.
Keep us updated as to it's performance.  Being in the satellite business, your
new "toy" is of big interest to me for commercial purposes as well.  The 
price seems right.
