Duane, did you get the latest firmware as posted recently by Joe? I thought
that was basically addressed to this problem?

I had the same problem in RU this year. Occasionally, and randomly, the TX
would lock up (mark or space? no monitor on my Omni VI+)and nothing would be
sent. I had to hit "Esc" and then press the function key to restart. It's
not RF because it was only on one "reboot" of the system that I had the
problem. Very difficult to debug, I'm sure. I just kept my eye on the
display to see when it was happening and take evasive action. I was using
RittyWrite with my DXP38, which has never had a problem with either XPWare
or
with DXPWin. That would seem to narrow it down to WriteLog.

Hope this is useful.

I'm not sure, but I think it only happens with MMTTY? Thus probably not
RFI. I know W9OL was using MMTTY. I've had the problem on rare occasions -
hangs with a solid tone for a few seconds, but finally goes on with exchange
info. I used WinRTTY/RITTYRITE part of the time for the RR, and I don't
think it happened with that modem.

I just tried to reproduce it into a dummyy load and couldn't.
