[WriteLog] making WL talk to the radio

1. I am using a 500 mhz Pentium III computer running WIN98, 256M RAM.
2. Using WL10.24G
3. Computer has one COM port (COM1) that, according to Windows, is working
correctly.
4. I have been unable to get WL to "talk" to either radio here.  I have an
FT1000MP and an IC781.  The 781 has worked with CT in the past.
5. I go into the WL setup window and configure the ports (seems very
straightforward).

Anything I'm missing?
