Goetz:     I am also fairly new using Writelog.   I have had a
simaliar experience and found that I had to select the correct mode
before I could send anything.   Check the log window " Freq / mode "
If it isn't set to FSK,  you won't be able to send.   Also note the
your curser must be in the entry window.
